Holiday Boat Parade
We went to a party at Bonnie and Dick's penthouse condo at Old Port Cove.
The Parade Begins with Fireworks

Gil and Betty left the party early because of the happy news of the birth of Beth and Sean's baby girl, Rachel Kathryn, born in Boulder, CO, at 5:25 pm (Mountain Time). Six lbs 6 ozs, and 19.5 inches long. Everybody is fine! Baby pictures soon!
This is newborn Rachel Kathryn.
Finally, a fish!
We have not been fishing much lately, but have not been catching anything when we did get out in the ocean. First the water was too warm, then the wind was blowing, then ... excuses, excuses.
On Friday, Nov 30, our luck changed. This rainbow was a symbol.
We caught this wahoo on a pink wide-range lure, rigged with 80-lb flourocarbon leader. Who says you have to use wire leaders and wahoo lures? The line with the Ice Tea Too Special lure had a fish on, too, but it got off while Betty was fighting this fish. Then, about the time Gil was putting this fish in the boat, the Ice Tea lure screamed off line with the rod bent over. Betty grabbed the rod, and we could just taste the bigger wahoo that would be in the boat shortly. Well, unfortunately we had a shark. Gil got the leader, and Betty cut it near the hook, and we released the big fish. Fortunately, the shark hit the lure, and not the wahoo. The Ice Tea Too lure is still working! We were 11.5 miles off-shore.
